José A. Quinones, MD, MBA

Dr. Quinones was born and raised in San Juan Puerto Rico. After graduating from high school he attended college in Boston where he met his wife of 34 years. The first 3 of their 5 children were born in Massachusetts during his pediatric residency. After completing his residency, the family relocated to Chicago, where after completing his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology, they settled and lived for the next 23 years and added two more children.

Lured by warmer climate and people, Dr. Quinones relocated to Corpus Christi in 2004 where he practiced at Driscoll Children’s Hospital until he was recently convinced to come to the Houston area.

Dr Quinones has many years of clinical experience and concentrates on non-invasive cardiology such as fetal heart studies, echocardiography and preventive cardiology. His hobbies include martial arts teaching, as he is an American Tae Kwon Do Association two time world champion in forms, as well as an expert in weapons training. Other interests include opera and Boston Red Sox baseball of which he is an avid fan.
